Print Production Coordinator



Job Summary

The Print Production Coordinator supports the Creative and Marketing Departments in the pre-flighting and production of multi-page press ready files, ordering printed materials from a variety of vendors, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with vendors, and maintaining a comprehensive data base of printing costs and production time.  Accuracy and attention to deadlines are critical factors for success in this role.  This position will help with internal projects and general tasks within the Creative department.  The Print Production Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining the printers, testing new features or new equipment, and troubleshooting issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzes customer files for possible production concerns
  • Inspects art files for correct specifications
  • Prepares variety of jobs for offset and digital printing processes
  • Reviews files for print quality standards
  • Prepares color accurate proofs as required
  • Understands client needs and uses creativity to exceed expectations
  • Assists in creating processes, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of existing and new printer equipment
  • Orders prints from a variety of vendors
  • Checks completed post-print jobs for accuracy and quality
  • Delivers printed proofs and final documents to Marketing Team
  • Develops and maintains vendor relationships related to new and on-going print projects
  • Additional duties in support of the department, as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years print production experience
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Applications, specifically InDesign and Acrobat
  • Able to switch rapidly between different projects
  • Able to work effectively and independently on multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Able to work both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, disciplined, organized, self-sufficient, proactive, and take ownership of work assigned
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to perform/learn new tasks outside the candidate’s immediate range of skills
  • Approach your work with an open, flexible outlook and a focus on innovation
