Job Summary

The Web Developer is responsible for creating and modifying advanced WordPress functionality as well as websites and related project requirements. They will strive to create functionally sound sites, in collaboration with the UI designer. The position requires an eye for detail, strong time management skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines. The Developer must have a passion for building engaging web experiences with a mind for best practices, cross-browser compatibility and emerging technology. Key Responsibilities

  • Developing interactive, member based websites using WordPress
  • Extend WordPress functionality
  • Maintain and enhance existing member websites
  • Work with internal teams to discuss and develop new functionality
  • Browser compatibility and quality control

Requirements, Qualifications & Experience

  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript (jQuery)
  • WordPress (PHP/MySQL/AJAX)
  • WordPress (Custom Post Types, Plugins, Theme Development)
  • Knowledge of Web Development Standard Practices
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects and work effectively within a cross-departmental team

  • WordPress REST API
  • WooCommerce/e-commerce
  • Git/SourceTree
  • WHM/cPanel experience
  • DNS Experience

Education & Experience

  • 3+ years web development or related experience
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing professional, standards-based websites for business
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with team members
  • Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Must be reliable, flexible and punctual
