Job Summary

The goal of the Digital Content Specialist is to drive-content related activities that will positively impact the performance of digital initiative for Fuel Medical and its Members. Activities include keyword research, content writing, copy editing, and content database updating and maintenance. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Preference will be given to candidates with SEO knowledge as it relates to content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write Member-specific web content using Member supplied information including: biography pages, about us pages, and mission statement pages
  • Integrate unique selling points and mission statement directives into Member content
  • Work with SEO and Content Manager to create, develop and manage content for Fuel Members
  • Update stock content database with newly optimized content in multiple variations
  • Work with SEO specialists to create and optimize new stock content
  • Create Member blogs according to Member needs and SEO best practices
  • Perform weekly article curation and social post writing by Member specialty for social media
  • Perform monthly article curation and social post writing for audiology Members
  • Provide additional support to the Advertising Content Specialist as required
  • Provide additional support to the Social Media Specialist as required
  • Write and edit all Fuel Medical web content to ensure it complies with the company’s style guidelines

Skills and Qualifications

  • A combination of education and work experience necessary for competence in the role. This may come from a bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or business and/or 1-3 years managing content for websites.
  • Experience optimizing content in accordance with SEO best practices
  • Understanding of basic WordPress functionality
  • Exceptional writing (spelling, grammar, formatting skills), content repurposing, and editing skills
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work collaboratively and effectively within a cross-departmental team
  • Ability to assess and communicate progress on projects and tasks
