Angello Barocio, Graphic Designer

Tell us a little bit about yourself (i.e., professional background, hobbies, interests, etc.).

I was born and raised in the PNW and am proud to be an Oregonian who is planting his roots in Washington. I’ve been a graphic designer for most of my professional career. In the past, I have been a flooring installer, landscaper, kid’s pastor, bartender and wildland firefighter. I am a fanatic of the UFC, professional boxing and the NBA. Portland has a huge food scene, so my wife and I enjoy trying new foods and restaurants on the weekends.

What is the most valuable resource you provide to our members, and what does an average day look like?

As a designer, I imagine my role for a member is to take a rough concept of what they would like/imagine and create a composition that exceeds expectations. Depending on whether I am working from home or in the office, an average day consists of starting the day with Print Readies, then Edits to work orders and finishing the day with New Creative. If I am working in the office, lunch is discussed with my team on “what we should grill” or “where we should eat.”

Tell us something unique about you.

I married my high school sweetheart—our first date as boyfriend and girlfriend was my senior prom, where I won prom king that night.

What is one thing you cannot live without?

My family (my wife and our two beautiful girls)
