Tell us a little bit about yourself (i.e., professional background, hobbies, interests, etc.).
Hello! I’m a content writer and editor with an almost-three-year-old daughter, a dog and a cat. My hobbies are reading, gardening, cooking and hiking, and lately, I’ve tried taking a stab at writing children’s books. Before working at Fuel, I was a proofreader/editor at a legal services firm, and before that, I was a content writer, both freelance for a marketing company and in-house for an HR consulting firm. (I also had a career in HR and recruiting before that, but I burnt out hard in 2020 and will not be doing that again … ever.)
Since you just started at Fuel, what was your first impression of Fuel, and what are you most excited about for your future with us?
I was definitely struck by how friendly everyone is, but I’m sure that’s the obvious answer. I also love how much education is going into my onboarding regarding audiology and hearing aids. You want Fuelies to understand Fuel’s whole business model and industry instead of siloing everyone into their own little zones; I think that’s exciting, because most places I’ve worked before definitely love their silos.
Tell us something unique about you.
I don’t like mangoes.
What is one thing you cannot live without?
Coffee. Specifically, from Great North, the café by my house.
