November, 2009

Hearing industry veterans Shawn Parker and Brendan Ford decide to open Fuel, a new business advisory company specializing in ENT and medically-based audiology growth.

2010

Brendan and Shawn begin building the team with former coworkers from within the industry who demonstrate both expertise and a penchant for playfulness. Many of these original hires are still on our leadership team today.

Fuel welcomes Jeff Green as our Director of Creative Services. Jeff is not only an experienced graphic designer; he has also been married to an audiologist for over 20 years, making him an ideal head for our creative services.

October, 2014

Fuel moves into our current office in Camas, Washington, a former auto shop that was rehabbed over months and still serves as our headquarters today.

2015

Sarah Laughlin is hired as Fuel’s Director of Human Resources, where she not only serves as an internal resource, but also regularly consults with members on issues of compensation, staff hiring and departure, staff performance issues, and talent strategy formation. Sarah also oversees our recruitment services, which to date have placed more than 150 audiologists, front office staff, and medical assistants in member offices across the country.

August, 2015

Dan Quall joins Fuel as our Director of Strategic Initiatives. Dan is an audiologist and industry veteran who previously owned multiple clinics and worked for several of the industry’s major players. He is the mastermind behind Access Hearing, The Better Hearing Lease Plan, and many of our other programs to help audiologists remain operationally competitive in the face of changing regulations and industry trends.

Jim Fedio joins Fuel as the Director of Professional Development, where he ultimately oversees the expansion of the department to offer training in customer service, leadership, customer journey mapping, practice culture, and more.

Fuel hires Kelly O’Keefe, a web design specialist with a background in building websites in the audiology industry, to manage the expansion of our digital services. Today, Fuel’s digital team has specialists in every area of digital marketing, including web design, paid search, SEO, reputation, social media, email marketing, and more.
