Account Manager

“If you are looking to discover the changes that can shift your practice towards a more positive state with respect to culture, operations and patient growth, then Susan and I are your go-to team for charting that path.”

Lauren Cobb, COPM-C

Education

Bachelor of Science in General Engineering, Harvey Mudd College

I joined Fuel because I wanted to synthesize my previous experiences in business consulting, facilitation, organizational development and marketing into one role. I enjoy the challenge of bringing to life a preferred normal by adopting a new perspective that enables a different set of generative strategies. To that end, I pursued additional training as a coach and, in May 2024, earned my first coaching certification.

In my time at Fuel, I’ve worked in two different territories, which has given me a breadth of experiences on which to draw. I prefer to look at situations holistically. The more pieces and parts of a situation I have in my field of view, the more effectively I contribute to fresh ideas and possible solutions.

I’m most excited about my contributions when a member practice sees the largest share of patient growth arriving through referral sources. If both patients and other providers are referring patients to a member at a sustaining level, that indicates to me that the practice has cultivated a positive culture, offers an excellent experience for patients and is attending appropriately to their operations and billing. That environment offers a lot of benefit to staff and patients alike, with ripple effects for all those families. In addition to all that, when a practice is operating in that way, more patients’ hearing is improved with all the benefits that brings to the quality of life for the patients and those in relationship with them. That whole picture is the kind of contribution for which I’m aiming and which I find deeply satisfying.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, knitting and exploring Portland-area restaurants.

Fun Fact

Unicycles were a popular mode of transportation at my college, so I learned to ride. Since then, I’ve found that unlike riding a bike, unicycling is a perishable skill.
