Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’m a Northwest native, and I love it here! I can’t imagine living anywhere else. I enjoy camping, hiking, trivia and other fun games, as well as spending time with family and friends. I am recently married (formerly Christi Hamilton). We traveled all the way to the beautiful state of Alaska for our wedding, and it was awesome.
What do you do at Fuel, and what is the most valuable resource you provide to our members?
My role on the HR team involves a lot of recruiting, with a sprinkling of policy and procedure creation, employee relations consulting and compensation recommendations. The most valuable resource our team provides is the time we save our members by taking the bulk of the recruiting work off of their plates, which allows them to focus more on providing excellent care for their patients.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
One of the things I enjoy the most about my job is that there is no ‘typical’ day. However, there is a lot of collaboration, creative problem-solving and networking.
What is your professional background?
I started my career in banking. When that took a turn in 2009, I decided to start from scratch, returning to school to pursue a degree in HR. Fuel has been my home since graduating from Washington State University in 2015—GO COUGS!
What do you like to do in your free time? Do you have a fun fact about yourself you’d like to share?
In my free time, I like to paint, work in my yard and have friends over for barbecues when the Northwest weather cooperates. Fun fact: I have a knack for spotting four-leaf clovers and have a whole book full of them!
