Emily Lindstrand

Tell us a little bit about yourself (i.e., professional background, hobbies, interests, etc.).

I moved to the Pacific Northwest to study English and political science at the University of Portland. After graduating, I spent six years working as a newspaper reporter in rural Clackamas County, where I covered local government, business, arts and events like the 2020 Riverside Fire. I joined the team at Fuel last March.

My husband, Nick, and I have two cats, Scotty and Loki. Outside of work, I like spending time with friends and family, seeing local theatre productions, reading and baking.

What is the most valuable resource you provide to our members, and what does an average day look like?

A typical day for me involves working on projects related to digital content and social media. Whether I’m writing website content or social media posts, I’m happy to help members share their stories and keep patients informed about everything available to them.

Tell us something unique about you.

I’m about 45,000 words into writing a novel focused on the different relationships two teenagers have with their hometown.

What is one thing you cannot live without?

A good book. I’m currently making my way through Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan novels.
