Tell us a little bit about yourself (i.e., professional background, hobbies, interests, etc.).

2024 marks my 14th year of being in the audiology industry. Prior to that, I worked in retail sales. I stumbled into this industry by looking for more stability and was intrigued by the technology aspect. Outside of work, I am a diehard Minnesota Vikings fan, I love to golf (although I am not great at it), and I could spend an entire day on the beach surf fishing if my schedule/family allowed it.

What is the most valuable resource you provide to our members, and what does an average day look like?

My eight-year-old beagle Calvin wakes me up at 5 a.m. on the dot every day of the week looking for his breakfast (unfortunately, that includes the weekends). From there, I am getting a head start on returning email communication and planning the day. I am a big believer in making task lists. I not only make one focused on the entirety of the week but often make one for each day. Typically, our team has two to three member phone calls per day, mixed in with one to two vendor calls or potential new member communications, and it is somehow 5 p.m. EST already. One of the most valuable resources I provide members is simply listening to them. Fuel has a tremendous amount of support to offer, but it does no good if it is not correctly aligned. I don’t have all the answers, but I know where to find them.

Tell us something unique about you.

Besides a 12-letter last name? I moved around quite a bit growing up. I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and then moved to Lewes, Delaware, at age seven. When I was 12, my family again moved to Winslow, Maine. After graduating from the University of Maine, I moved back to northern Delaware in 2007 and have lived in the same area since. My dad’s career is what prompted all the moves. While each location offered its own appeal, I prefer Delaware for its climate and proximity to all East Coast activities.

What is one thing you cannot live without?

A really good cup of coffee to start my day. Working at Fuel for the past seven-and-a-half years has made me somewhat of a coffee snob. Beyond that, my six-year-old daughter Nora is my world. We are best friends and spend a lot of time together. Even when I am traveling, we cannot go a day without FaceTiming good night and breaking down her day or what my hotel room looks like.
