Believe it or not, we’re halfway through the year. As we approach the mid-year mark, it’s an ideal time to pause and reflect on the goals we’ve set. This is an opportunity to continue what’s been going well and reassess areas that could benefit from growth, along with celebrating the wins you’ve seen so far.
You Can Still Get Started
If you didn’t set any goals at the start of this year, there’s still time to do so—it’s never too late to start a goal. Check out our articles about starting goals and executing your biggest goals to learn more.
Reflect On Your Goals
Things change over the course of the year. Think about the goals you initially set. Are they still applicable and achievable? Do they align with your current priorities? Were they too easy or hard?
Depending on the answers to these questions, you can recalibrate your focus for the remainder of the year so you have a plan that best fits your needs and circumstances.
Celebrate Progress
While it’s easy to look at your goals and focus on what you haven’t achieved yet, it’s important to honor the progress you’ve made. Take time to look at your accomplishments from the current year—both those in service to your goals and outside the scope of your goals. You may find that you’d like to create new goals to build from existing wins.
Consider What’s Next
Take a moment to review your action plan for the remainder of the year. Has your existing plan been working, or do you need to alter it? Reflecting on this is the first step to creating a clear roadmap for the rest of the year.
Taking time to set goals and periodically reevaluating them can help you reach desired benchmarks in your career. If you’re interested in learning more about goal setting, Fuel’s Professional Development team can help. Contact your regional manager or account manager to get started.
